Dr. Jallow Becomes TRRC Executive

                      Dr. Baba Galleh Jallow

President Adama Barrow has appointed Dr. Baba Galleh Jallow as the Executive Secretary of the Truth Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRRC). The appointment resulted after a consultation with the Minister of Justice and the Public Services Commission.

Dr Baba Galleh, the former Editor in Chief of the Daily Observer newspaper and Founder of The Independent newspaper, holds a Ph.D degree in African History from the University of California at Davis, a Master’s degree in Liberal Studies from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from the University of Sierra Leone.

Prior to his TRCC appointment, which came into effect on February 1, Dr. Jallow was an Assistant Professor of Department of History at La Salle University in the United States of America. Baba is also an established author of many books.

The TRRC will look into atrocities committed by the ousted APRC regime of former President Yahya Jammeh.
