A retired Senegalese Colonel describes President Yahya Jammeh as “the sore teeth of Senegal that must be extracted.” Like many Senegalese and Gambians, Colonel Malick Cissé could not adjust with President Jammeh’s insult on past and present Senegalese leaders. Gambian leader’s misguided statement on Presidents Abdou Diouf, Abdoulaye Wade and Macky Sall has been causing gnashing teeth in Senegal. It has also thrown sensible Gambians into moments of shame and frustration.
The insult, spoken during President Jammeh’s so-called meet the people’s tour, has become the main subject of debate in Senegal. Already, some Senegalese have described Jammeh’s ststement as “a declaration of war” that deserves a fitting response. They called it the height of insult on their country and its leaders.
But Colonel Malick Cissé for now calls for restraint. He says that does not mean the “Crazy Banjul Teeth” will not be tackled.
“Senegal is a diplomatic country that should not respond to the donkey blows like those of a tyrant (Yaya Jammeh) who knows only violence,” Colonel Cissé tells www.senego.com.
He says there is no need for the Senegalese government to meet its Gambian counterpart over the insult. “This will give importance to a man who does not deserve any. Yahya Jammeh is a mental patient, a dunce, a tyrant. A virus, a sore tooth that should be extracted from the mouth of Senegal,” he says. Colonel Cissé describes The Gambia as “an enclave in Senegal.”
Left to Colonel Malick Cissé alone Senegal would have long since pounded Yahya Jammeh. “If it were up to me, Yahya Jammeh who believes that all his problems are related to Senegal, would have been shelled.”
I am a Jammeh supporter and a very patriotic Gambian. Please guy don’t fall for the sound bites.
Politics is politics and we see that every day in america. I mean our leaders belittling other leaders around the world just because we are not in the best terms with them.
So, please do not blow this out of proportion. I still want to know what exactly Jammeh said. I only hear that he insulted.
Senegal and the Gambia will never go to war as some of you are fantasizing. Please don’t be an advocate of that.
What we need today is for both people to come together and eradicate poverty. No one will do that for us.
It’s not about who is a man and who is a woman. If you know what i mean.
I am praying peace for both people because we are one people.
Malang, I am glad to know that you are dictator so called curer of HIV/Aids, cancer, woman’s barren, Asthma and just to name few because the list of ailments is longer than I remember or list down for you. Being a supporter to tyrant and dictator like Gambian dictator president Yahya AJJ Jammeh is not a bad thing because even tyrant Pharoah, some people who are out of their mind or being afraid of him did support and dance for him. So you are welcome to support dictator Yahya AJJ Jammeh. But please try and listen to his comments about the past and present leader of Senegal he said in Farafenni meet the people tour meeting. That’s not a politic but completely childish and arrogant. Let dictator Yahya AJJ Jammeh address the problems Gambians are encountering daily and not attacking the neighboring country’s leaders for God’s sake. Malang, have you ever heard president Obama attacking Canada or Mexico past and present presidents? That answer is clear to every sound minded person is ABSOLUTELY NO. So why dictator Yahya AJJ Jammeh have audacity to called Senegalese past and present presidents their names and talks no sense about them. Please please let’s all be reasons here about what he dictator Yahya AJJ Jammeh is doing is bad and uneducated comments. But I will assure you that Senegalese past and present presidents are well educated, sound minded, respectful, mature, Allah’s fearing than he dictator Yahya AJJ Jammeh both within Africa continent and globally. Please call your dictator Jammeh to be mature, and stop faking with that so called spiritual leader with holding the Quran in his hand everywhere he goes. He is fake and liar in his everything and move.
