Delegates to the first ever young African leaders’ awards have begun arriving in Banjul ahead of the much anticipated awards.
The award, which is the brainchild of the African Youth Architects (AYA), a diverse continental youth organization, will take place September 29th at Kairaba Beach Hotel.
Representatives from New York, Liberia, Nigeria, Egypt Ghana and others have already arrived with a bigger number from other countries expected to jet in as the country brace up for a major youth gathering.
Fatou Hydara, the executive director of AYA, said everything is in place for the event.
The award aims to celebrate and honor exceptional young leaders around Africa for their professional accomplishments and their leadership roles to make Africa a better place.
