In Feb 2011 Yahya Jammeh turned his back on the man responsible for his regime’s survival from 1994-2000, Col. Muammar Gadaffy of Libya. Gadaffy then faced an onslaught from the West which ended up with his murder and overthrow. Jammeh, like Zuma of South Africa, asked Gadaffy to step down from power.
Jammeh asked Gadaffy to resign for “Libya’s peace and stability” and added: “Libya’s people have shown that they want a new leadership in the country”.
Jammeh said that Gaddafy had lost the mandate of the Libyan people and had to resign for the country’s sake. Gadaffy refused to resign and the ensuing war destroyed the country – and the war continues today, December 11, 2016, five years and ten months later.
Today, it is Jammeh that the whole world is telling to “GO” for the sake of The Gambia, its people and regional peace. Having lost an election, and having accepted defeat 10 ten days ago, Jammeh has changed his mind and refuses to give up power. Gambians, Senegal, Ecowas, African Union, Europe, USA, and the United Nations Security Council have all demanded that Jammeh “GO”!
As I write, it remains to be seen whether Jammeh will follow his own advice to Gaddafy and “GO”, or whether he will, like Gaddafy insist on holding onto power and fight his own people and the World to remain in power.

Jammeh like any other tyrant , he will leave when he is threaten with force. Jammeh never love our country because he has no strong family or deep rooted connection to our country . In traditional Gambian society, people listen to their closed relatives or loved ones for advise when they are in troubled. Yaya jammeh lack that kind of relationship in The Gambia. He is a lonely person as a child and president. Nobody knows who is his true biological parents. He has no siblings. He lack empathy and sympathy for Gambian people because he is not truly one of us . His Gold digger wife has abandoned him as tension continues. She has never loved our country in the first place . If she is truly a decent human being who cares about humanity, she would have stayed in The Gambia and advise her husband to do the right for the people of The Gambia who has offered them plenty opportunities and blessing in their lives. Unfortunately, she too has no family or deep rooted connection to our indigenous people. Jammeh is surrounded by people who has similar backgrounds and many of these people have no proper family background in The Gambia. To compound the problem, his tribal militia forces from cassamance are in The Gambia to defend their tribal hegemony the whole senegambia region rejected in their so called tribal liberation struggle. The current political tensions is by extension a continuation of this tribal liberation struggle which has threaten our geopolitical security, peace and democracy. It is an existential threat to whole senegambia region. But Gambian people are peaceful in nature , smart and patience. It is also land of religious people even though our top religious leadership are not religious enough to speak the truth to power . I am hopeful that this tension will end without a single shot being fired . Jammeh has no choice but he must hand over power to the indigenous citizens who want their country back . Indigenous citizens irrespective of ethnicity have spoken in this election and across the country, from the tiny harmlet to the capital city all have expressed their repudiation of the military dictatorship. It is time Gambian military works for the interest of indigenous citizens who pay for their salaries.
To all the readers who read this article, I personally want to ask all of you after reading this article, what category of human beings dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH stand for or we have to call him? Let me answer my own question, dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH IS A PURE HYPOCRITE. He should never be trusted at all. I wonder those who are calling and crying like a baby saying Don’t prosecute dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH, let me ask those hypocrites too, what did dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH have done for 22 years of his ruling the Gambia? Why they are jumping into that conclusion if they really think the dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH is just and holy. There is one proverbs say, if you think you are just why do you have to afraid of standing on justice let you show your just or innocent. Dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH knows what has transpired for 22 years of his ruthless and heartless ruling that is why he found it very hard to relinquish the power to president elect Adama Barrow. That’s the main reason. So to those hypocrites who are appealing , crying and calling for amnesty to dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH, ask yourself first what have dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH did why you hypocrites are calling for his amnesty. I personally dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH have not done anything injustice to me but others have suffered and treated inhumane by Dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH. So let Dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH face his victims to ask for their forgiveness either in court or on the TV screen. Jammeh must go and he will go by force. What goes around comes around, Jammeh. You insult mandinkas, you divide Gambians by tribes against tribes but to all the tribes in the Gambia, we are all Gambians before Yahya Ajj jammeh and we will be one Gambians after dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH has gone. To jolas, you all are good people like other Gambians tribes except evil ruthless dictator YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH who is evil ruthless jola man. Jammeh and Ghaddafi both lack self-integrity as leaders of countries. Jammeh is a dishonest psychopath in power who is not that a man who believes in what he says. He just talks to impress others he has a brain. He perfected this art from Ghaddafi who was another big liar and freaky fake — of the continent’s dictators. Jammeh sometimes lies to the masses on their faces to an extent that, the expression of guilt is all over his face.
