The family of the late Morro Fofana is soliciting support from people to send his body for a fitting burial in the Gambia. Fofana, who hailed from Jarra Sankwia in Lower River Region, met his untimely death in a train accident in Rome, Italy, last week.
The late Morro is hailed for his hard work, respect and piety. The young man in the mid-20s traveled to Italy some years ago with the ultimate aim of striving hard to help his family back home. In fact, he died on his way to send remittance to his mother in the Gambia.
Morro’s brother in the United Kingdom who flew to Rome said efforts are currently in the pipeline to repatriate the body home. On behalf of the family, Yahya Fofana is appealing to people, particularly Gambians in the diaspora to help them repatriate Morro’s remains.
