Sainey Jawo and Mbye Babou Jarra of Al Saad Sports Club in Qatar have been selected as the beach volleyball senior national team players for the 12th African Games that will be serve off in Morocco in August 2019. The duo will represent Gambia in her 3rd appearance in the continental multi sports showpiece, preceding Maputo 2011 and Brazzaville 2015. And are anticipating for the 2020 Olympic berth as the games will serve as qualifications for beach volleyball. Disclosing this to the media, the head coach of Gambia senior beach volleyball team Pa Barrow show confidence in his men and believe they can match big guns in Africa with their collection of experience. Meanwhile Fatoumatta Ceesay and Abie Kujabie, one of the longest serving women beach volleyball partners in Africa maintain their partnership and will rub shoulders against other nations at the games.
