The political top brass of President Yahya Jammeh’s Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) have been spotted quarreling at the Banjul International Airport where they assembled to welcome the ECOWAS crisis mediation team led by President Muhammadu Buhari of Nogeria. An onlooker pieces together what is perhaps considered one of the majpr an embarassmentioned scenario for the outgoing ruling party political leaders.
“Upon arrival of ECOWAS leaders at the airport. APRC lunatic Mr Dahaba chanted “we need only Yahya Jammeh forever.” He was approach by the Parliament Speaker Abdoulie Bojang. There was push and pull involving Dahaba, Speaker Bojang and Yankuba Colley, Mayor of Kanifing Municipal Council. Mr Dahaba repeatedly shouted to ECOWAS leaders “Jammeh to stay in power.” Speaker Bojang again went to Dahaba and told him “we’re not in that mood here.” The APRC bigwigs continue to quarrel among themselves to the bewilderment of everyone.
Speaker Bojang and Mayor Colley look embarrassed to see APRC supporters quarrying in front of everyone present to welcome the ECOWAS leaders. People were looking at them in utter dismay. It is like seeing people undress in public.
President Buhari was met by VP Isatou Njie-Saidy who was also shocked to see APRC infighting at a diplomatic welcoming ceremony.”
