The Families of the Two Missing US Citizens will be hosting a rally in Las Vegas NV on June 15th 2015 at 12.00PM in Front Of – Lloyd D, George Building (Senator Harry Reid’s Office) – 333 S Las Vegas Blvd #8016, Las Vegas NV 89101.
The purpose of the rally is to raise awareness to this case within the US, with the hopes of getting public support in-order to urge the US Government to put more pressure on the Gambian Government for the immediate and safe release of Alhagie Ceesay and Ebou Jobe back to their families in the US. If you are or will be in the Las Vegas Area, please join us to help raise awareness on their disappearance.
Alhagie and Ebou have been missing for almost 2 years (since June 2013). The Ceesay and Jobe Families appreciate all the work that the US State Department, FBI and the US Gambian Embassy have done so far, but believe more should be done to bring the 2 back who have been held incommunicado by The Gambian Government. The Family is demanding for their immediate and safe release.
Both Alhagie and Ebou are married with young children. Alhagie has two kids, a boy and a girl. Ebou has three boys. Their kids miss them dearly. Alhage’s 5 year old son is always asking if his dad will be back in time for his next upcoming birth date and wonder why his dad doesn’t want to see him or spend time with him during his birthday. Ebou’s oldest son wants to know when his Dad will come back as his mom has been shoveling the snow by herself and he doesn’t want her doing that anymore.
Alhagie and Ebou came to the US in their late teens for the pursue of the American dream. After graduating from College and working in the Cooperate world for over 10 years they withdrew their 401K with the hopes of starting a business in the tiny West African Country, The Gambia and also with the hopes to give back to their native country. One of their plans was to eventually build a computer school to help the country’s impoverish youths be more equipped in Technology so they can keep up in the 21 century; Alhagie had a degree in Information Technology and a MBA and worked for Chevron Texaco for over 10 years as a Systems Analyst. Ebou Jobe had a degree in Business and worked for Walmart as an Operations Manager. The two were picked up by NIA agents (headed by The Gambian President) and have disappeared ever since.
The family’s life’s’ have been at a standstill and in turmoil as we have not heard from the two and nor do we know where they are kept. We are grateful to the few that have come forward so far very helpful information and continue to plead with The Gambian community (both within and outside of Gambia) to continue to come forward with any information with regards to Alhagie and Ebou’s disappearance and where they are kept (your identity will remain anonymous).

A very worthy cause. USA government should do more so that they can be release to their families. This is one of the reason every Gambian is not safe from the dictator and his criminal gang. I wonder how isatou Njie saidy feel when her children are all in the United States and her boss kidnaped innocent citizens , yet she is doing nothing to advice her boss to release these two and many others who are in detention. I think Gambian people should know that this woman is even more heartless than president jammeh. Where is that motherly love she suppose to have? Isatou Njie saidy is heart beat from presidency. According to the constitution, she is the principal assistant of the president in discharge of his executive functions, it is therefore very clear that isatou Njie saidy is equally guilty of all the crimes committed in this regime. the only time, this Vice President Njie saidy is active is when dictator jammeh is threaten or in trouble, she would then mobilize those religious fanatics who will hypocritically try to convince Gambian people that our dear leader is always right. Those religious and opportunist elders has the character of Boxer in animal farm who always believed that comrade Napoleon was always right. This regime is real copy of animal farm written by George Orwell. To further highlight the funny character of this regime, jammeh ‘s black black or jungulars can be compare to special trained dogs in animal farm who always protect comrade Napoleon, in our case Jammeh .
Ebou and Alhagie’s case is very sensitive and dangerous, and it should be treated with care, not blindly commenting on their case without putting yourself in their shoes [position]. Many faceless online commentators hardly regard the situation of the victims, which could be unhelpful to the person in custody. Therefore, be mindful! I am humbly appealing to the Authority in Banjul and his allies in Diaspora to persuade the president to free Ebou and Alhagie for the sake of the Holy month Ramadan, so that they may spend the Holy Ramadan with their wives and children. And I.m also praying to Allah to guide, protect and bless them where ever they are at this critical and distressful moment for their love ones.
Yankuba Jobe, I think these two are already in dangerous situation, so it makes no difference if people comment about it or protest about the case. One thing is clear dictator Jammeh didn’t care, so we have to put pressure on and expose him. The best weapon against a dictator is information. Let me tell you Jammeh and his agents are reading our comments. You think Jammeh will listen to you to release these two individuals, if that is the case he would have release your brother who helped to entrench him in power by showing him how dictatorship work through the establishment of relationship between Jammeh and former Libyan dictator. Most of the commentators are just frustrated about the situation in The Gambia and they also care very much about the safety of Alhagie and Ebou. We all need to speak up and every voice matters.
Yankuba Jobe, your advice, “be mindful” to individuals who express themselves against the illegal detention of Alhagie and Ebou is the very problem we still have dictatorship in the Gambia. The reason is, this is very mindset majority have in The Gambia because you want to massage the ego of the oppressor so that he would not be offended. If there has been protest about every unlawful arrest and detention, the situation would have been different. In every case of illegal detention, whether it is Jammeh’s supporters or not, no one speak a word or some will say “be mindful “, we are working on the case or we are going to apologize so that they can be released. Clearly this reinforces the negative behavior of the oppressor. The oppressor has clearly ignore the law, therefore those who are upset about it, has constitutional rights to speak up. The democracy we are advocating is not only about reasonable Voices but also the ignorance ones also need to express themselves. That is the beauty of democracy. This is why president Obama always received letters from Americans calling him “idiot” and he still respond to their letters. Who in his right mind will call Jammeh “idiot” except me if I have the chance to see him lol.
Denying someone’s place of Birth could have psychologically negative impact in his/her life and the person could take everything personal, I have not experienced such in my life. Therefore, I did understand, and I will rest my case here. Good luck!
