Sabally Returns To The Dock

saballyIf for anything, I do not wish the former SG Sabally anything except that which he wished for himself. The truth be said, the likes of Sabally are being haunted by their own taunts, and as such, any sympathy for them is only based on humanitarian grounds and the lack of a true justice system with due process of the law in the Gambia.

If you ask me, I think whatever is happening to Sabally is good for him, and that is only if he succeeds in escaping the dangerous crocodile’s poisonous jaws. Sabally was growing too arrogant, too dishonest, and mean, with absolute recklessness, without thinking of what he was doing, other than satisfying his financial, personal, and fame dreams, what the Wollofs call, “Yakamtee-aduna.” If Sabally succeeds in getting some years of jail time, that will certainly rehabilitate him, makes him reflect on the evil he once supported, and help him perhaps be a better citizen, and that is only if he rehabilitates. Of course, we have seen the recycling tendencies, and some of them would rather be recycled than seeing themselves being against the very ugly system they helped construct, for obvious reasons, a battling for survival and fitness with a typical system under a dictator, and a way to prove points that they are still “cool” with the dictator, or that they were right in whatever they were doing in their lives. Whatever big losers!! It is time for these sick and dishonest intellectuals or blind supporters of this crumbling regime to come to their senses. Failure to do so, you are digging your own grave, just like the many of your predecessors. When you tell them to listen, their ears are too deafened, eyes too blinded, and hearts too full of arrogance….and they would right away brand you as being “jealous” of their achievements (political, wealth, fame, etc). Oh well, who is more truthful? Who is in a better place today? Who is free and who is a captive of his won evil? Who is a bad son of Africa –the official criminal or the poor diaspora guy fighting for the oppressed Gambians? I am sure today you must have realized the answer even though some of your rotten breeds will still be self-denial of the truth. Your own bed-bugs are ruining your skulls….nincompoops and dirty political prostitutes!!

Sabally’s mischaracterisation of his own umbilical cord, the Mandingo, assault on the West and Diaspora, and overall mishandling of office – GRTS TV beating and open bragging in society, depicts a character that if allowed to grow to full strength, can be worse than the likes of Jammeh. But here is a major difference. Jammeh is an ignorant fool whose low-level education led him to being a comedian making laughter of every intellectual material, while Sabally claims to be educated, and the latter is more dangerous than the former, because he can use his education to manipulate systems, ideas, people, and will use every opportunity to justify his aggression and intellectual dishonesty.

One thing is clear –none, if not few, are fighting for the former two SGS, names Njogu Bah and Momodou Sabally. The reason for that is not far-fetched. It is their ass-kissing and own evil manifestation. The dictator knows not to release the two because they are privy to some evil within the administration.

Now, said and done, they are honestly dealing with their own taunts. May Allah [SWT] protect us from their evils, their evil associations, and the evil for which they were created. (A Momodou Sabally Appears in Court Today!!

Blasphemous Yero!!! You say: “May Allah protect us from … the evil for which they were created. (Ameen).”

That is an exra-ordinarily blasphemous prayer Yero! Allah is the Creator and he did NOT create anyone FOR evil. Not even the Devil. That is elementary theology.

If Sabally wronged anyone he must face the due process of law. But he is also entitled to due process – even if he was accused of mass murder. That is elementary jurisprudence.

That said, let us ask what the charges are that have put Sabally in horrific cells for 5 months. He is said to have INFLUENCED Social Security & Housing Co-op to disburse a grant – of LESS than $10,000 – to a Youth Development Group. He didn’t put any money in his pocket; he didn’t give any money to anyone himself; it seems that all he did was what we do all the time here in UK:- give a supporting reference for a Youth Group to obtain funding for worthwhile youth work.

If $10,000 was given to a Youth Group as a grant by SSHC, it was not Sabally who gave it! Sabally had no power to give it. The Managing Director of SSFC and the Board are 100% responsible for disbursing those funds. Sabally may recommend to his hearts content, he may write a thousand references for the Youth Group, but they would not get $1 if the SSHC had not decided to give it.

The charges are absolutely not worth keeping anyone in Mile 2 without bail even for one night, let alone five months.

Coming back to your above prayer, it is not worthy of someone in the struggle for justice.

Come on Dida, they are saying that he has used undue influence in abuse of his office. Are you telling us that is permissible under the law?? This cursed Mandingo kid needs to go down for the good of the entire Mandingo people in The Gambia. The use of state machinery to promote hatred against any tribe is a serious threat to mandinkas in The Gambia and that has to be acknowledged.

    Thanks

Get a life Lafia!! The poor boy was just a pawn! Sorry you don’t understand chess – so I’ll say A MISGUIDED FOOL. That is not a capital offence – except for the vindictive.

  4. I hate to agree with Dida; this charge is clearly not worth spending five months in jail without trial. No one justify Sabally’s behavior while in office but that is not a reason for the injustice he is facing.

  5. Luntango/Gann

Malanin: “I hate to agree with Dida …”
A compliment is a compliment Bro; I’ll take it whichever way you wanna give it!

“Get a life Lafia!! The poor boy was just a pawn! Sorry you don’t understand chess”- Dida

I think I already have a life, Dida. A very fulfilling one, thanks to the prayers of my Mandingo parents and ancestors.

    Thanks

  7. no one can justify

  8. Dida is spot on!

It may be that SG Sabally appears, sounds and behaves arrogant; and even his boss, the Professor, seemed to have confirmed this. But these undesirable and repulsive social attitudes don’t justify the blindingly obvious trumped up charges he is facing. We don’t know all the facts but from what is publicly available, it’s clear that if anybody should ever face charges in connection with the alleged offences, it should be those who disbursed the funds, not SG Sabally. But even then, they should be on self-bail as I cannot see how such misconceived charges should ever result in a conviction before a fair and an impartial court.

I am afraid the main thrust of the write up and the view expressed by Lafia represent a dangerous slope towards vindictiveness which has no place in law and due process.

If SG Sabally should ever face any charges for now, they should be brought under public disorder offences following his wilful ranting on the national TV which could possibly be interpreted as incitement.

As it appears more than one Kemo infrequently comment here, I would henceforth be Kemo-Ba.

  9. It is very sad, and even troubling, to see that we have got to a stage where people’s down fall, maltreatment and unlawful detention are celebrated by others…

To rejoice at someone’s misfortune, regardless of who or what they are/were, cannot be right…That’s un-Islamic and un-Christian…

Mr Sabally, being generally acknowledged as an intelligent and intellectually gifted youngster, is a victim of his hard work and success..

As with any young man, finding a “well paid” job in The Gambia, soon after graduation, can be “intoxicating”, but rising rapidly through the ranks to the very top, and the influence,”power” and clout that comes with the positions Sabally occupied, has proven too much for him..

Mr Sabally, perhaps the most talented youngster of his generation, “failed” because he was not prepared for the enormous responsibilities that were suddenly placed on his “young shoulders”…

There is no denying the fact that along the way, he has ruffled many feathers, but this young man deserves our sympathy, even if he was part of the system and had called people “names”, etc..

Yaya Jammeh and his advisers ( if he has any ), should be blamed for.their poor senses of judgement in appointing such an inexperienced individual to such top positions…

But like the “mad” Mother Croc, that cannibalise its hatchlings,Yaya Jammeh, having “established ” The University of the Gambia, will destroy its most promising graduates, one by one…

  10. Luntango/Gann

Kemo Ba, I am sure you know why he can’t be charged with what you rightly suggest.
Super analogy Bax: “The mad mother croc that cannibalises it’s hatchlings”. Many UTG graduates have met that fate.

  11. Niamaatoo

Sabally deserves all this mess he is facing…
If you want all you end up loosing ALL! !!!!!
now let him remember the night he sat on Grts insulting all mandinkas…
He is just speedy but not wise enough, cuzhe could have know he is from the same family with saikou sabally. … u know what i mean

  12. Niamaatoo

Sabally rest because they have started cutting the counts in to pieces
you cannot escape boy.. am so sorry Mr loud mouth.
