Reports reaching this medium’s editorial desk have it that Baba Fatajo has been sacked as Managing Director of the National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC).
When contacted to shed light on the news being circulated on social media platforms, NAWEC Press Officer, Pierre Sylva, confided to this reporter that he was just notified about the sacking.
He further stated that the decision is set to take effect on June 28th 2019, adding that the missive remained mute about Baba Fatajo’s successor.
It could be recalled that Baba Fatajo was appointed MD in the aftermath of the regime change that President Adama Barrow to power.
Under his leadership, the country’s utility company embarked on massive projects such as the cross border electrification project and the 30 megawatts power supply deal with the Turkish electricity giant Karpower.
