Mama Kandeh 2016 is swim or sink, do or die for the opposition to liberate The Gambia. You must suspend your campaign and join the Grand Opposition Coalition. Your failure to join will spell your political suicide.
The Gambia our beautiful motherland has been looted, brutally vandalized, and now she is burning with no hope of relief in sight. It is our responsibility, collectively as a people, to stand up and take the fight to Yahya Jammeh and his APRC government out of office in December.

The government of president Jammeh is unpopular and seemingly vulnerable in a free and fair election. The dilemma is that the opposition has not been able to unite ( Gambia Democratic Party of Mr. Mama Kandeh)behind a single platform, which makes winning elections much more difficult.

What needs to change if truly the Gambian people want to win? Gambia Democratic Party ( GDC) of Mr Kandeh should not seek nomination but to join the grand coalition led by Mr. Adama Barrow. It should be common knowledge by now that competing against ourselves is meaningless; there is no honor in not joining the grand coalition, any form of defeat by APRC in December is unacceptabe. Mr. Kandeh unless all opposition forces unite into one opposition group, they stand no chance of defeating Yahya Jammeh in an election.

Now Mr. Kandeh you have decided to go it alone and as expected you have already started dividing anti-incumbent forces and it’s clear the opposition is beginning to weaken due to selfish interests. The APRC and their party faithful must be praying the opposition remains divided until they fall. Mr Kandeh suspend your campaign and join the coalition for the best interest of the Gambian people.
Mr.Kandeh it’s common sense that politics is a game of numbers. We all know that for a party to win,it must garner more votes than the other competing parties. And we all know that to mobilize enough supporters ,it takes all the forces who badly want to defeat the incumbent party that they are prepared to make the necessary and ultimate sacrifices.

Mr Kandeh it is therefore mind-blogging to see you as an experienced politician not joining the coalition, very perplexing. Mr.Kandeh knowing that you alone can’t defeat Yahya Jammeh!why don’t you be in the grand coalition and after defeating Jammeh then you can kill each other after Yahya is gone.
Mr. Kandeh who benefits if you lose the election? Why are you behaving as if Yahya Jammeh has “paid” you to keep the opposition divided so that he can comfortably win? Mr Kandeh does divided opposition outfit look like one that can really win power from Jammeh. The truth is if you don’t join the coalition you will begin your journey into political oblivion and subsequent extinction. The choice is yours.

Sir I have come to the realization that Mama and GDC are not in this fight for liberating Gambians from dictatorship. It is very sad but this is the reality in today’s Gambia.

when politicians like Halifa see the urgency of now and decide that a coalition is best for Gambia it is very sad to see a newbie like kandeh act this way

  3. Once (a) self-destructive Devilish advocate/s mortgages it’s (their) soul/s to the kanilai IDOL WORSHIPPING DEVIL it’s impossible to back out & face the consequences which are motivated by SHEER GREED ONLY & NOTHING ELSE…

Both Mama Kandeh & yaya KILLER DEVIL know they will loose even combining the two of their collective votes together in December much more each of them individually on their own…

This is just a strategy on the making deviced for the rigging being hatched to steal the elections just like before & always; as always have been the norm all along for the past 22 years; Mama Kandeh is aid abetting DEVIL yaya to doctor the results of the election in December & invite Mama Kandeh to openly accept & validate the results as “credible” just for KILLER yaya DEVIL to fabricate grounds to appear legitimate to attempt for some hang on, in the illegalities…

If not, Mama Kandeh can only gain votes from illegitimate aprc support base but can NEVER swing any SERIOUS ordinary opposition voters…

The stage has now been set, let’s begin in earnest; both DEVIL yaya, mama kandeh & supporters & enablers are one camp of SELFISH introverts opposed to the collective progressive humanity cause in the Gambia; REALISTICALLY in effect, they all are part of the problem which is our collective task mandatorily incumbent upon any GENUINE Gambians & well-wishers to relentlessly find solutions to come December & beyond…

Come December, the tides will surge & engulf to wipe away this OMINOUS SADISTIC TYRANNY CURSE casted upon this NOBLE land which is the Heart of Humanity in the world since July 1994; not much or long to go for now; INSHA ALLAH…

    Long live the Gambia…

  4. Yorro, I think it is fair to say that the Kandeh candidature is more of an internal Fula community division than a problem for the coalition. A part of the Fula populace is Rightly horrified by the intransigence of Kandeh in defying common sense and the common good. There are the other part who supported him while in the incumbent camp and now felt an obligation to stand by him no matter what. But I believe if O.J, Hamat Bah and Barrow, all or partly of Fula origin, do their homework right, the votes that will go to Kandeh will be ignorable.

I think that it doesn’t serve the purpose if we confer undue prominence on the man. I think we can be proudly satisfied with the coalition ticket and now go all out and present the coalition candidate. The strength of purpose was laid down at the convention and I think the unity that was achieved is exactly what the people demanded. They now have a choice.

  5. In love with Gambia

I Will not be surprised if Mamma kandeh join the PIG (YAHYA JAMMEH ) to help him steal the election . This guy is as wicked and selfish as Yahya Jammeh (the PIG )

  6. The litmus test for The Gambia’s “Independent” Electoral Commission in the forthcoming December polls will be their ability to strictly go by their own rules as conveyed to the public. Under two weeks ago, the body communicated the criteria/conditions for acceptance as a presidential candidate. Paramount among these conditions was the attainment of a certain minimum standard of education which, according to the electoral body, was a High/Senior Secondary School Leaving Certificate. Any candidate without this basic minimum cannot qualify to run as a presidential candidate. Given this background, we now need an explanation from the IEC as to how and why the body accepted the candidacy of GDC presidential aspirant when what is publicly known about him is that he attended the then Crab Island Secondary School and later GTTI. Is there something else that is known to the IEC about the candidate that the voting public did not know? Or have they decided to equate the vocational certificate of the GTTI (if at all obtained) with that of a High School? At this crucial stage of the electoral process, transparency should be the watch-word. The IEC must not only (or promise to) be transparent, but also, they MUST BE SEEN to be transparent. This is what will preserve the much-needed integrity of the entire process. For now, the public would like to know the basis on which the GDC leader’s candidacy was accepted. We hope they would have the grace to clear the air on this point.

We are losing our focus if Mama Kandeh continues to be our agenda. The Gambian people need to know what the coalition is meant and what they have in store for them, and not just a coalition. Only then, victory is ours. No one is a fool.

  8. Salaam to all. One, Don’t you guys know that people who didn’t want to vote for neither President Barrow or Y.j voted for Kandeh. If he wasn’t the 3th party many would rather have voted for jammeh then Barrow. Stop being such. Like we have made our choice so did Mr kandeh.
