The Gambia’s newly appointed Foreign Affairs has traveled to the neighbouring where he met President Macky Sall. Dr. Mamadou Tangara, who was a Special Envoy of Gambian President Adama Barrow, met President Sall on July 17 in Dakar.
During the visit Dr. Tangara and President Sall held discussion on ways to strengthen further the good bilateral cooperation between their sister countries. “Other areas discussed include strengthening regional cooperation and security,” a press release from the Foreign Affairs Ministry read.
“The visit by the Gambian Foreign Minister was meant to enhance the relations between the two countries bearing in mind that upscaling of bilateral cooperation between The Gambia and Senegal is of immense relevance to both countries.”
Present at the occasion were several high-ranking Senegalese government. This includes Senegal’s Foreign Minister ,Mr Sidiki Kaba.
