Gambian activist has been reportedly arrested and detained by the agents of the Gambia’s most feared National Intelligence Agency.
Ousainou Baye Sankareh, a local language radio presenter of Kibaaro Radio, was believed to be intercepted at the Banjul International Airport shortly after he landed on Thursday.
Details of Mr. Sankareh’s arrest and subsequent detention are still murky at the time of going to press. However, Kairo News will do its best to put its Banjul sources to work in a bid to unearth the circumstances surrounding the story.
Mr. Sankareh, who hailed from Baja Kunda in Upper River Region, has been resident in Spain for over a decade.
