It is with great sense of patriotism, humility and immense pleasure that I endorse Her Excellency Dr. Isatou Touray for the position of President of the Republic of the Gambia. For the past three decades, Dr. Touray has worked in various communities in all parts of this country seeking to change lives and livelihoods for the development of the Gambia. Through her organization, Gambia Committee for the Eradication of Harmful Traditional Practices (GAMCOTRAP), she has championed the promotion and protection of the rights of women and girls and indeed all Gambians to live in freedom and dignity. Dr. Touray possesses excellent personal and professional credentials and will add immense value to the Office of the President and will restore the reputation of the Gambia as a peace-loving society in which love, caring and sharing characterize the relationship between our ethnics groups and religions.
Isatou is a well educated and informed woman who holds a PhD in development studies with emphasis on gender from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, United Kingdom. She also holds a chain of professional certificates and laureates of many institutions. I am proud to say that Dr Touray is honest, hard-working with heavy heart for her country and deserves to be our next president. She has all the qualifications required to be our first female president.

I do not endorse her period.
But you are not casting a vote right now, you are in a discoursion! You should atleast be able to give a few reasons why you are not endorsing her. For people of our likes, we only rely on self-reasoning from folks opinions and viewpoints for the fact that lots in the diaspora don’t have an idea, who is he or she. Dr. Isatou Touray have all the academic qualifications and who knows the most appropriate for presidency whilst her rapport with the peasantry can be improved upon. Presidency cannot just be based on academic qualifications one acquires but remains one of the most important criteria of it. Afterall, maybe she is not as unknown as some think it to be. Maybe, she is not a very loud person. The impression I have of her of her image is that; she looks down to earth and very current. Who knows……we just got to know a bit about aspiring citizens for leadership.
To write I don’t endorse her is very simplistic and uninformed Statement. I think if you write at all, at least, you are obliged to state your objections to her. Stating common man “NO TO HER” betrays an elusive anger or motive in you. That is not transparency or common sense.
