First of all, I asked Pa Njie [Girigara] to DROP the name “Deyda Hydara” out of respect for the deceased and Pa Njie said: “Deyda and I used to dance together in Banjul”. Pa Njie has also now said: “I supported Jammeh and APRC from 1994 to 2005” – the same period that Deyda (RiP) vehemently opposed Jammeh and got gunned down. So for AT LEAST 11 years, Pa Njie supported Deyda’s killer. THEN Pa Njie fell out with Jammeh but that is nothing to claim credit for because Jammeh-Da-Thief-In-Chief fell out with almost ALL his friends.
Secondly, Pa Njie says he “gave money to UDP”. But many many (including Amadou Samba!) did that secretly. It is called “edging your bets” in order to survive under the next dispensation.
Thirdly, Pa Njie asks: “Where was Bensouda?”. Everyone knows that Amie Bensouda opposed Jammeh and supported UDP – possibly even making Pa Njie’s claimed D1 million donation to UDP “Chicken Change” – how much has Pa Njie “donated” to Pa Nderry Mbai to buy OPINION space?
Finally, Maxs hits the key point. Pa Njie should not have been “paying to play” – with UDP (Lawyer Darboe has a much higher moral standard to Pa Nderry Mbai!). That makes Pa Njie’s donation – and all those intense discussions we used to have here with him as Deyda Hydara – dishonest: but Luntango knew that THEN and said so! CHECK ARCHIVE.

Dida, I knew Mr Njie is indeed a very dishonest politician when he indicated that he was one time Jammeh’s adviser and at the same time he used “Deyda Hydara” as his pen name. When GDC was formed and the party was very popular before the coalition formation, he quickly jumped ship and began advocating for GDC using a pen name “Baboucarr Bojang”. I challenged him at the time about his lack of consistency and honesty. I am pretty confident that he likely bribed Pa Nderry which is why he has never challenged by freedom newspaper despite his admission of “pay to play”.
